Personal Story

MY JOURNEY OF AWARENESS

This is a journey of questions, search, discipline, solitude, hunger, spiritual practice, and the understanding that gave birth to Aware Mind.

When I Was Around 14

When I was around 14 years old and studying in the eighth grade, certain questions began to arise in my mind—questions whose answers I could not clearly find anywhere. I used to wonder:

What is God?
What are heaven and hell?
Why are some people born disabled?
Why do accidents happen?
Why do people die?
Why are some people extremely rich while others are extremely poor?

These questions disturbed me deeply from within. At first, I began asking the people around me, but their answers could not satisfy my mind.

THE BEGINNING OF THE SEARCH

After that, I started meeting different saints, spiritual teachers, and people. I learned mantras and read both religious and non-religious books.

As I continued reading, my mind became increasingly drawn toward devotion to God. At the age of 15, I left my village and went to a secluded place a few kilometers away—where there were no houses, and after evening, “not a single person could be seen far and wide.”

(During this time, I do not have any photographs with me.)

RETURNING HOME AND DEEPER SPIRITUAL PRACTICE

After completing 25 days, I returned home. My father too had once followed the path of devotion, so he did not say anything to me. But my parents were worried deep inside — “The child is still young, how will he manage alone?”

Even after coming home, my spiritual practice did not stop. Sometimes, outside the village in the cremation ground at midnight, and sometimes standing on one leg near the riverbank, I continued my practice.

Unbroken Search Even after coming home, my spiritual practice did not stop.

STUDY AND THE EXPERIMENT OF HUNGER

By the age of 17–18, I had already read many mantras and a large number of books. After this, I went to Gurgaon near Delhi, where I studied Psychology, Philosophy, Anthropology, and Theology. I also tried to deeply understand Christianity and other religions. But my questions still remained the same.

A 40-DAY FAST

There came a time when I went into solitude a few kilometers away from the college. There, I stayed for 40 days and 40 nights without eating anything. This experience was extremely difficult for both the body and the mind.

People used to come bringing fruits and food, but I would tell them that I would eat only after completing the 40-day fast. They also took my photographs. Some people even gave me those pictures, which I still have with me today.

After 40 days, I had become very weak and returned home.

THE BIGGEST UNDERSTANDING

At that time, I was around 21–22 years old. As time passed, I continued working to make a living and also kept learning. I learned different methods such as Hypnosis, Reiki, EFT Tapping, NLP, and Meditation. But among all these, one thing slowly started becoming clear.

I realized that Awareness itself is the foundation of life. The more aware a person becomes, the clearer life begins to feel. Being aware is not some special spiritual practice; it is a way of living.

The need to stay aware is as important as life itself. From here, the idea of Aware Mind was born.

A SIMPLE TRUTH

Today, I do not say that I have understood everything. I only know this—that when a person begins to live with awareness, life itself starts teaching them, little by little.

And this is the main purpose of this book.

“Awareness is the gateway to everything in life.”

Repulsive questions contented him few extensive supported.
